mammography
Mammography is a simple imaging of the breast that is used to detect changes in the breast. In digital mammography, the image is stored digitally and allows the specialist to zoom in on the image and adjust the light shade of the image in such a way that hidden abnormalities are revealed. Therefore, this method is the best way to diagnose breast diseases, especially breast cancer, the most common cancer in women.
Mammography is performed in this center according to the following schedule:
- With the prescription of the attending physician to check the disease
- Breast cancer screening (in women over 40 years old and without specific symptoms)
According to the screening program (early diagnosis) of breast cancer, women over the age of 40 should have a mammogram once every two years (even without specific signs and symptoms).
